Botanical Drawing
Discover the Exquisite Designs
underlying Living Forms
10 - Week Course with Part I & Part II
This course invites students into the inner world of plants, flowers, and seeds. All living plants share characteristic growth patterns and possess exquisite underlying design within their forms.
Part I introduces the foundations of observation, drawing, and composition, culminating in 1–2 refined drawings of a chosen floral arrangement, along with a sketchbook filled with field studies for future projects.
Part II continues the botanical study through the development of a cohesive thematic series, expanding upon the work begun in Part I.
Students may complete Part I as a standalone course or continue into Part II for a deeper, more sustained investigation. These classes are open to everyone, from beginners to trained artists.

Bones As Landscape
Explore the Poetry of Organic Architecture
through the Lens of Design
5 - Week Course
This course explores bones as a form of organic architecture, revealing the structure, movement, and hidden order embedded within their forms. Through careful study, students investigate the rhythms, proportions, and spatial relationships that give bones their unique presence and expressive power.
Through close observation, students build foundational drawing and design skills, develop greater intentionality in composition, and create either a refined final drawing or a cohesive series that reflects their artistic vision. An optional but exciting challenge encourages students to incorporate a landscape element that relates to the bone specimen both conceptually and visually.
These classes are open to everyone, from beginners to trained artists.
