Why Your Support Matters

For a decade, the TXHCA has been a place of disciplined learning and mentorship for artists wanting to hone their craft and expand their visual language. Our public exhibit in downtown Kerrville this summer helped the local community understand the rare training that we offer — training lineage that reaches back to the Renaissance — and how accomplished our students have become. An art critic and writer visiting from San Antonio remarked that we are “the only school of its kind in a 500-mile radius.”

We continue to offer this critical training and have expanded with more teachers and programs. Recently, we have become more directly involved in our community. We host several community functions and are involved in several boards that strive to enhance the arts and cultural offerings of our region.

The Texas Commission on the Arts recently awarded us matching funding for a program we are calling “Art in Our Lives,” public talks featuring respected leaders in the arts, masters of craft, museum directors, scholars, architects and artists. These public programs will be recorded and widely shared through our website and YouTube channel.

We need your help to continue our training, expand our reach, and foster important conversation. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation to the Texas Hill Country Atelier. We are grateful for any level of contribution you are able to make.

Thank you!
